Person-centred counselling for grief, loss and bereavement

About person-centred counselling (PCT)

Mental health is as important as physical health. When life is busy, it can be hard to prioritise yourself - but being able to spend 50 minutes dedicated to being heard, by someone impartial, in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space, can really help.

In PCT, you are the expert on you - I am not here to tell you what to do, there are no expectations, I am here to facilitate a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever you want to bring to a session: your thoughts, your feelings, at your own pace. Time to feel what you want to feel, say what you need to say, and find your own way through with support.

Working with loss

Loss can have many forms, and any of them can bring you to therapy. Some examples being:

  • Bereavement
  • The end of a relationship or marriage
  • A miscarriage, stillbirth or pregnancy loss
  • The loss of a pet
  • Losing a job
  • Loss of self
  • A diagnosis, or loss of health
  • Estrangement from family
  • Loss of a home

If person-centred counselling feels right for you, please get in touch. I offer in-person sessions in Bolton, on Chorley New Road.
